The Robertsons to Mexico
Giving the Light of the Gospel of Jesus Christ to those who have not heard
The Robertsons are serving the Lord in the town
Ixtlán del Río, which is in the state of Nayarit.
Ixtlán del Río has a population of about 30,000
people and is rapidly growing.  The Robertsons,
through the Lord's leading, started the first
Independent Baptist Church in Ixtlán del Río in
September of 2005.

The Robertsons are church planters.  God has
given them a great desire to reach the rural areas
of Mexico with the Gospel of Jesus Christ.  In
most cities in Mexico, there are good
Bible-preaching churches, but in the rural areas,
there are very few.  In a 20 kilometer area around
Ixtlán, there are over 50 towns and villages that,
as far as the Robertsons know, there are no
Bible-preaching churches.  They desire to
evangelize these areas with the Gospel and start
Independent Baptist Churches.

The vision that the Robertsons have is to see the
Lord add to the church in Ixtlán del Río and
animate the hearts of the church people to reach
the lost in the surrounding pueblos.  They desire,
as a church, to start witnessing by door knocking
into these rural areas.  They have a great desire to
train godly men to reach out to their own people.
After some are saved in a village, the next step
would be to start a Bible study, and finally to
organize into Baptist churches in the differnet
villages.
  • Started Iglesia Bautista Libertad (Liberty Baptist church) in Ixtlán del Río

    Jesus Christ
  • A group has come together to study the Bible in Magdalena which is a town an hour
away from Ixtlan del Rio.  The process of discipling has just begun.
